This webinar will focus on Senate Bill (SB) 24 (2021), which:
• Authorizes a court to include a provision within a domestic violence restraining order that restrains one party from accessing records and information pertaining to the health care of a minor; and
• Requires healthcare providers who treat minors to develop, no later than February 1, 2023, protocols relating to compliance with such and order. These protocols must include specified information, which we will discuss during the presentation. Participants will also receive a model template for P&Ps to use as a guide for creating their own protocols, as necessary.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Understand the background, purpose, and requirements of SB 24 (2021), including the review and analysis of template protocols designed to meet the requirements outlined in the bill.
- Identify best practices for implementation, particularly with respect to navigating “special case” scenarios such as parents with multiple children, participation in HIE networks, and online patient portals.

Cancellation Policy: Effective 11/1/21 - No refunds will be available for cancellations that are received within 10 business days before the start date of the event/training. To receive a maximum refund of 50% of the registration price prior to this deadline, all cancellations must be in writing and submitted by emailing training@cpca.org. Substitutions of registrations in lieu of cancellation is encouraged.
Invoicing/Pay Later: Effective Wednesday, December 1, 2021 the “Pay Later” option will no longer be available when registering for trainings or events that have a fee associated with them.
